London-based jazz vocalist, lyricist and producer Georgia Mancio, winner of the inaugural Brussels International Young Jazz Singers’ Competition in 2005 (organized by the Music Village), is internationally recognized for her supreme storytelling and authentic performances, whether interpreting her own luminous originals or jazz standards.
Her long-standing partnership with Grammy-winning pianist and composer Alan Broadbent has produced three albums, two books, performances across Europe and the US – including Ronnie Scott’s and Jazz at Lincoln Center – and over 40 co-written songs.
She has also won two prestigious UK Parliamentary Jazz Awards, received multiple nominations at the Jazz FM, British Jazz and Urban Music Awards, and her credits include the BBC Proms, Liane Carroll, Ian Shaw, Kate Williams, Pat Metheny (lyric approval), Bobby McFerrin and her own ReVoice! Festival.
Tonight, in a debut collaboration with acclaimed guitarist, composer and producer Jeanfrançois Prins’ eminent trio, they explore a wide-ranging repertoire from the jazz, latin and European songbooks, their own songs and beyond, celebrating Spring and the ever-renewed energy and light it brings.
